Penn Intermodal Leasing’s newest drop frame tank chassis have arrived in Oakland, CA and are available for lease immediately. These lightweight chassis include the latest design features for moving wine and food grade liquids in Flexi-bags[1] across the hilly terrain of Northern California and the Northwest.
These chassis come equipped with a full-length mesh walkway which makes it much easier to safely maneuver around the chassis during the loading and unloading process.
The right chassis is important for maximizing payloads while moving bulk liquids. In determining the right chassis, consideration is given to the material being transported, the container, the terrain and the potential for adverse weather conditions. Let Penn Intermodal Leasing assist you with acquiring the correct chassis for you bulk transport needs.

[1] Flexi-bags (also called flexi-tanks) offer an alternative to ISO tank containers for shipping oils, juices, wines, food-grade liquids and nonhazardous chemicals across the globe. Flexi-bags are usually loaded into 20′ food-grade, ISO containers for maritime transport. Sizes range from 16,000 to 26,000 litres. The materials used in the production of flexi-bags has to meet the US Food and Drug Administration, EU food-grade or German BGA standards. The idea is to isolate the liquid being transported from ambient air to avoid oxidation. [1] 1. COA Code of Practice Flexi-bags may also be used to transport base oils.ISO tanks and Flexi-Bags are typically transported on drop frame chassis designed to enhance stability and minimize the impact of load shifts from uneven roadways with shrarp curves.
